  • Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara

Today our adventure beings! Today our adventure begins! As soon as we are introduced to our driver guide we will head out for the Lake Manyara National Park. This hidden gem is one of Tanzania’s best scenic wildlife areas, located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s escarpment. Lake Manyara is home to over 300 migratory birds, including flamingo, long-crested eagle and grey-headed kingfisher. We will then proceed on a game drive along the banks of the shallow soda Lake pausing for a boxed lunch. Then after, continue with an enroute to our first overnight at an eco- friendly lodge, Tanznaia Ric Lodge, tucked away in Oldeani’s fertile coffee farmland.  The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake.

After entering the Serengeti National Park, we will head into its northern plains, game driving enroute to Serengeti Bushtops. Enjoy your stay in a luxury safari tent – a timeless and truly intimate setting amidst the endless Savannah plains.

The spectacle of predator versus prey dominates Tanzania’s greatest park. Golden-maned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, while a high density of cheetahs prowls the south eastern plains. You will stay in “safari styled” tents with private shower and toilet facilities and enjoy a good meal in the middle of the African bush.
